For a Nightline

We always need student volunteers to speak to callers on our help lines and to take on committee roles to run each Nightline. Please find your nightline and let them know you’d like to help. They’ll be delighted to hear from you.

Working for Nightline can be challenging but also hugely rewarding.

Nightline stands apart from many other student activities which are often social or recreational.  Through intensive training you will develop strong communication skills including active listening and if you take on a committee role you can gain a wealth of experience including: 

• running an organisation or specific project   
• leadership, people management and team building
• PR and marketing
• devising and delivering training, public speaking and time management 
• handling budgets
• recruitment
• building external partnerships

For the Nightline association

Have you left university or are about to and don’t want to wave farewell to Nightline? Are you a current volunteer that would like to keep up-to-date with all things Nightline?  Is this the first time you've heard of Nightline but you have a skill you think the association could benefit from?

Please email volunteermanager@nightline.ac.uk to add your name to our alumni list to receive the association ebulletin with updates on Nightline activity and association volunteering opportunities to help Nightlines on an international scale.

Regional Representative:
The Nightline association is looking for Regional Representatives to act as the voice of Nightlines in eight regions around the country. You would be responsible for organising support networks, socials, being the point of contact for enquiries from Nightlines in your region and obtaining their feedback on behalf of the association. If you are passionate about Nightline and have a social outgoing nature, this role is for you. You will be given full training at the South National Training Conference 24 October in London.  Please return your completed application form to regionalcoordinator@nightline.ac.uk.  The term of office begins on 24 October.
